Jean Dubuc tossed a complete game and left fielder Bobby Veach smacked 2
triples and had 3 RBI as the Detroit Tigers man-handled the St. Louis Browns
- the final score was 12 to 2.
Veach had a good day at the plate. He tripled knocking in a run in the 4th
inning, lashed a single bringing home two baserunners in the 5th inning and
tripled in the 7th inning. Detroit banged out 12 hits on the afternoon.
The victory was credited to Dubuc(17-10) who went the distance, allowing 2
runs. Walt Leverenz(3-10) was tagged with the loss. He got hammered,
