Sid Farrar had 5 hits and 3 RBI at Exposition Park as the Philadelphia Athletics won in dramatic fashion coming back to beat the Pittsburg Burghers by the count of 16 to 15. Farrar enjoyed a fine day at the plate. He doubled in the 2nd inning, delivered a one-base hit in the 4th inning, tripled bringing in a run in the 5th inning, delivered a single resulting in a run in the 6th inning and tripled plating a run in the 9th inning.
