Sid Farrar had 5 hits and 3 RBI at Exposition Park as the Philadelphia
Athletics won in dramatic fashion coming back to beat the Pittsburg Burghers
by the count of 16 to 15.

Farrar enjoyed a fine day at the plate.  He doubled in the 2nd inning,
delivered a one-base hit in the 4th inning, tripled bringing in a run in the
5th inning, delivered a single resulting in a run in the 6th inning and
tripled plating a run in the 9th inning.  Philadelphia kept the scorekeepers
busy in the 4th inning which saw them score 4 runs on 5 hits.  The
Philadelphia offense man-handled the Pittsburg pitching staff as they scored
in 7 of the 9 innings.  

Bill Husted(7-7) picked up the victory, allowing 10 runs in 8 and 1/3 innings.
Ed Morris(12-6) was charged with the loss.  By giving up 16 runs in 9 innings
his ERA increased from 4.40 to 5.08.
