Bob Black went the distance at Athletic Park where the Kansas City Cowboys
beat the Baltimore Monumentals in 10 innings 4 to 3.

The score was tied at 3 after nine.  Kansas City won the game in the 10th
inning.  Jerry Sweeney doubled.  After an out was recorded, Lou Say stepped
in and he stroked a base-hit making Kansas City the victors to the delight of
the home town faithful.  Baltimore had 10 hits in the game while Kansas City
had 7, but Kansas City had the more timely hits.  

Black(5-6), allowing 3 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Al
Atkinson(5-14) was given the loss.  He allowed 4 runs and 7 hits in 9 and 1/3
innings.  

The Kansas City ballclub's record now stands at 18-52.  With the loss, the
Baltimore ballclub's record is 54-42.
