Ferdie Moore had 4 hits and 2 RBI at Shibe Park as the Philadelphia Athletics
beat the Washington Nationals in 10 innings by the count of 6 to 5.

The game was deadlocked at 5 after nine full innings. Philadelphia won it in
the 10th inning. Moore smacked a single. Collins was running on the next
pitch and he stole second. Rube Bressler then reached on an error resulting
in an exciting win for Philadelphia and a wild post-game celebration by the
home town fans. Despite losing, Washington out-hit Philadelphia 11 to 8.

Bressler(8-4) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 and 2/3 innings and
allowing no runs. Joe Engel(8-10) was given the loss in relief. He was a
hard-luck loser as he did not allow an earned run in his 1 inning of work.
