Ed Konetchy had 2 base hits and 3 RBI and Elmer Knetzer completed the game
without help from the bullpen at Exposition Park where the very talented
Pittsburgh Rebels beat the Chicago Whales 8 to 1.

Pittsburgh went ahead for good in the bottom of the 5th inning when they
tallied 2 runs on 2 hits.  The key at-bat was by Konetchy who thrilled the
crowd when he laced a base-hit scoring two baserunners.  Pittsburgh finished
with 11 hits in the victory.  

The win was credited to Knetzer(16-17) who went the whole way allowing 1 run.
Three Finger Brown(14-10) was the loser.  He was hit hard and gave up 11 hits
and 6 walks in 8 innings.
