John Clarkson had a complete game at League Park as the Boston Beaneaters
embarrassed the Cincinnati Reds by the lopsided score of 14 to 4.

Charlie Ganzel led the offense for Boston.  He lined a base-hit knocking in a
run in the 1st inning, doubled scoring two baserunners in the 2nd inning and
lashed a single in the 8th inning.  Boston had 14 hits for the afternoon.

The victory went to Clarkson(21-20) who went the distance allowing 4 runs.
Jesse Duryea(16-12) was given the loss.  He allowed a few too many
baserunners giving up 12 hits and 7 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings.
