Oscar Jones went the distance as the Brooklyn Superbas defeated the Cincinnati
Reds by the score of 7 to 4 at Washington Park.

Brooklyn scored 3 runs in the 6th inning when they came up with 4 base hits.
The biggest moment was provided by Harry Lumley who excited the crowd when he
doubled scoring two baserunners.  Brooklyn finished with 13 hits in the
victory.  

The win was credited to Jones(16-24) who went the whole way allowing 4 runs.
Jack Harper(18-11) was hit with the loss.  He was unable to control the
Brooklyn offense and allowed 13 hits and 2 walks in 8 innings.
