Earl Moore pitched a complete game and John Titus had 2 base hits and 3 RBI at
Washington Park as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the hopeless Brooklyn
Superbas by the count of 8 to 2.

Philadelphia promptly took the lead in their half of the first scoring a
single run.  Philadelphia totaled 14 hits on the afternoon.  

Moore(16-14) allowed 2 runs on the game. George Bell(12-20) was given the
loss.  He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 14 hits and 4 walks in
9 innings.
