Jack Quinn completed the game without help from the bullpen at Hilltop Park as
the New York Highlanders belted the reeling Washington Nationals by the count
of 12 to 2.

New York took the lead off Ed Moyer in the first inning scoring one runner
utilizing 2 base hits.  Bert Daniels drew a walk.  Charlie Hemphill next to
the plate and he reached on an error.  Harry Wolter then ripped a single to
load the bases.  After an out was recorded, Earle Gardner came to bat and
slapped a one-base hit scoring the run.  New York rapped out 19 hits for the
afternoon.  

Quinn(15-13), allowing 2 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Moyer(0-3)
absorbed the loss.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 14 hits and 6 walks in 4
and 2/3 innings.
