Kaiser Wilhelm tossed a complete game as the Brooklyn Superbas defeated the
Philadelphia Phillies by a score of 8 to 1 at Baker Bowl.

Brooklyn wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning scoring one
runner on 2 hits.  Tom Catterson drew a walk.  Al Burch was next and he
stroked a single.  John Hummel then ripped a base-knock to load the bases.
Billy Maloney followed next and he hit a deep fly scoring the run.  Brooklyn
managed 12 hits in their victory.  

The winning pitcher was Wilhelm(16-19) who allowed 1 run for the game. Tully
Sparks(13-16) took the loss.  He got hit hard, allowing 12 hits and 4 walks
in 9 innings.
