Right fielder Patsy Donovan had 4 hits and Frank Foreman completed the game
without help from the bullpen at Boundary Field as the Washington Statesmen
beat the Baltimore Orioles 9 to 4.

It was a good day for Washington thanks to Donovan. He banged out a single in
the 1st inning, slapped a one-base hit in the 2nd inning, ripped a base-hit
in the 5th inning and launched a rocket-shot out of the park for a Grand Slam
homerun in the 6th inning. Washington managed 15 hits in their victory.

Foreman(17-22), allowing 4 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Kid
Madden(11-17) was given the loss. He was touched for 15 hits and 3 walks in
8 innings.
