Left fielder Billy Hamilton smacked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Tim Keefe
allowed Harry Wright to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the
incredible Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Boston Beaneaters by a score of
11 to 5 at South End Grounds.

Hamilton enjoyed a big day at the plate.  He lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in
the 1st inning and launched a three-run homer in the 6th inning.
Philadelphia rapped out 12 hits for the afternoon.  

Keefe(23-11), allowing 5 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Kid
Nichols(22-20) was tagged with the loss.  He served up 4 homeruns in his 9
innings.
