The St. Louis Browns defeated the Cleveland Naps by a score of 6 to 2 at
Sportsmans Park.

St. Louis started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of
the first with 2 runs utilizing 3 base hits.  Burt Shotton got things going
when he delivered a solo blast.  Gus Williams stepped up to the plate and he
drew a walk.  Bunny Brief then laced a single.  Del Pratt came up and he hit
a sacrifice fly scoring the final run of the inning.  St. Louis finished with
10 hits in the victory.  

The win went to Mack Allison(7-12) who allowed 2 runs in 7 and 2/3 innings.
Jack Powell was credited with his 1st save.  The losing pitcher was Willie
Mitchell(9-7).
