The Brooklyn Robins toppled the Boston Braves by a 5 to 1 score at Ebbets
Field.

Nap Rucker(6-9) pitched well for Brooklyn in their victory.  He went 6 innings
allowing 5 hits and 3 walks.  Both teams' bats went to sleep after the 4th
inning with no runs scored after that point.  

Pat Ragan preserved the game for Rucker, recording his his 4th save.  Paul
Strand(4-4) suffered the loss.  He allowed a few too many baserunners giving
up 9 hits and 6 walks in 6 innings.
