In a startling finish the Boston Red Sox staged a comeback then held on to win over the New York Highlanders by a score of 9 to 5 at Hilltop Park. Boston scored the decisive runs in a big 9th inning when they came up with 5 runs on 1 hit. The key at-bat was by Doc Moskiman who quieted the home crowd when he doubled clearing all three ducks off the pond. This was the kind of game that many fans love as the lead changed hands 5 times. Charley Hall(15-7) went 2 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Jack Warhop(12-17) was the losing pitcher in relief. He couldn't find the strike zone and allowed 5 walks in 2 and 2/3 innings. New York's manager was not very talkative after his team's tough loss. 'I'm not in the mood for questions, but I'm sure Boston's manager will be glad to talk about the game as long as you have questions to ask.'
