WEB GEMS- Bot 1st: Mike Donlin robbed Hans Lobert of a Homerun!

Ben Houser hit a homerun and had 5 RBI as the Boston Rustlers defeated the
Philadelphia Phillies by the score of 13 to 9 at Baker Bowl.

The Philadelphia fans didn't appreciate the big day Houser had. He stroked a
one-base hit scoring two baserunners in the 3rd inning and lofted a three-run
bomb in the 8th inning. Despite scoring in 5 separate innings, Philadelphia
could not get the win.

The winning pitcher was Hank Griffin(5-5) who allowed 4 runs in 4 and 1/3
innings. The loss was charged to Toots Shultz(1-2). He served up 3 gopher
balls in 7 and 1/3 innings.
