Jack Stivetts(14-4) thrilled the fans at Eclipse Park as he crafted a no-hit masterpiece against the pitiful Louisville Colonels. The amazing St. Louis Browns won by a final score of 6 to 2. Stivetts had his best stuff and was 'painting the black' with every pitch. A beautiful game to watch. He walked 2 Louisville batters. The tension built to a fever pitch. After the 8th inning everybody in the ballpark was anticipating what would happen in the 9th. St. Louis totaled 7 hits on the afternoon. John Ewing(11-24) was charged with the loss. 'Stivetts pitched one heck of a game!' Charlie Comiskey said. 'He didn't get away with any bad pitches because he just didn't throw any bad pitches. What a performance!'
