Left fielder Andy Leonard had 4 hits and 3 RBI as the Boston club defeated the
Philadelphia A Athletics 17 to 10 at South End Grounds.
Philadelphia A was unable to claim the lead after Boston went ahead in the 4th
inning scoring 2 runners on 3 hits. Boston provided plenty of action in the
2nd inning scoring 4 runs and the 6th inning which saw them score 6 runs on 8
hits. The Boston offense was great, scoring in 7 of the 9 innings.
