Fritz Clausen pitched a complete game as the Louisville Colonels topped the
Cleveland Spiders by a score of 7 to 6 at League Park.

The deciding run was scored by Louisville in the top of the 8th. After an out
was recorded, Bill Merritt tripled. Clausen came next and he worked the
squeeze play to perfection scoring the run. Cleveland had a chance to come
back in the 9th but they came up short.

Clausen(12-10) was the winner allowing 6 runs for the game. Tom Williams(0-1)
ended up with the loss. 'I just wanted to give my team a chance to win.'
said Clausen, 'I got burned on a couple of pitches. But we won the game, and
that's all that matters.'
