George Bradley pitched 9 strong innings as the St. Louis B Brown Stockings
topped the Hartford Dark Blues by a score of 6 to 1 at Ball Club
Grounds.

St. Louis B started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of
the first plating one baserunner using 3 hits.  St. Louis B finished with 9
hits in the victory.  

Bradley(28-25), allowing 1 run for the game, picked up the victory. Candy
Cummings(24-16) was tagged with the loss.  He gave up 6 runs and 9 hits in 9
innings.  

Bob Ferguson lamented, 'Bradley was really aggressive today.  He kept coming
after our hitters.  Heck, why not. he kept sitting our guys down one after
another - like so many bowling pins!'
